Jackson Lau joined Archimage in 2003 and currently serves the Lead Animator/Animation Director as
President of Illusion Studio. He earned a Bachelor Degree in Animation from The Illinois Institute of
Art in Schaumburg and has since taught advanced 3D animation classes at the college level in Hong Kong.
At Archimage, Jackson helped assemble a team of talented artists from around the United States to work on
the company's computer game projects. The team he manages consists of 3D computer modelers, texture artists,
riggers, animators, compositors, lighting artists, and concept artists. Tapping into his extensive
animation knowledge, Jackson plays the lead role in technical problem solving using the latest
technologies and techniques.
Ever the devoted company man, Jackson occasionally leaves his desk to eat, sleep, watch the Houston Rockets
on television, or play a little basketball. When he finds free time, he
enjoys watching animation, creating animation, reading animation books, or spending an evening out
with a beautiful girl while thinking about animation. Usually, he just stays at his desk and works
on his pet project -- a 3DStudio model of his hero, Yao Ming.
